I have a few followers whose photos don't link to their blogs or websites. A few of these fine folks I can link to if they leave a comment. I have no idea why I can link to things from the name, but not link to things from the photo. *sigh* I do wonder sometimes how Blogger really feels about me.
I think I have most or all of your blogs on my blog roll. That's what I use to check out your blogs, so if I don't have you on my list, PLEASE let me know.
I'm also on Twitter as @jemifraser. Maybe not the most exciting @name in the Twitterverse, but I'm usually easy to find :) If we haven't linked up on there, please leave me your Twitty name. I'm not the most consistent Tweeter (Twit???) in the T'verse, but I do tend to pop on for a little bit most days.

I wanted to do the whole Carbon-Neutral Blog thing on Earth Day, but without a computer, it was too hard. So as of now, I'm fulfilling the conditions. I chose the pretty pink leaf because it matches the blog :) Please check out this link to find out how to make your blog carbon neutral. These nice folks will plant a tree in order to combat the energy required to run your blog. We also planted several trees here on Earth Day. Hopefully you managed to do your thing to make this planet a little better and a little brighter. It's so important to make every effort we can. We have to make up for all of the destruction our species has caused. Education is the key - the more we know, the more we can do.
So, can you tell I'm in catch-up mode? That was a pretty eclectic blog post :) Don't forget to check the blog roll to see how my stalking is coming along! :) The easiest way to do this is to use the Edit button on your tool bar. I've noticed some of those untrackable followers as well. I've sometimes thought I'll return the favor by following their blog but alas no blog to link to. Oh well, another mystery.
Think about the May 17th Favorite album post. No big advance planning required-- just post spontaneously if you like. After all it's just an opinion thing that doesn't have to be definitive or anything. Just something to give us an idea of some music you like or has influenced you in some way. Just jump in when it's time and connect your post to the Linky and there you go. Think about it.

Sometimes, it's difficult for me to do reciprocal following, too, because a person's picture doesn't lead to their blog and they haven't left a comment. I do wish blogger would make it easier to find a follower's blog.

I have a hard time following some people too. If their picture doesn't link back to their blog or if they don't comment it can be tricky.
I don't understand why there's sometimes a disconnect between the picture and blog, but it seems to be happening more frequently.

I'm with the others - I've had a hard time with some profiles, too. I want to follow them back... but I can't. But if they leave a comment, sometimes I can find it that way. Frustrating, because don't want them to think I'm ignoring them!

I sort of like using the word "stalking" instead of "following." (In this situation, anyway.)
I wonder about folks who leave a comment and I click on their name but they have multiple blogs that they participate in and the one that they do alone is dead with just a notice on the dead blog that they've moved, but no link to take me there.

I figured out that if they don't have a "follow me" on their webpage, you can manually add blogspot blogs from your own followers page.
I try to offer as many ways as possible for people to follow or subscribe, but you never know when there will be an incompatibility.

I used to have an issue with my picture showing up. It was a setting I had to tweek and ever since, it's been working fine. Wonder if that's the problem.

Hey. I love the sense of community that can develop within the blogosphere. It can be a great way to exchange ideas, to give support, to do marketing, etc. It can also be difficult if one has many followers and tries building a following by visiting many blogs and regularly corresponding. Soon one is spending all one's time doing just that. Of course there are the one line people, those who jump from blog to blog to maintain a following by leaving one line responses to a posting. I do that myself from time to time, but mostly, I like to give more personal and involved comments.
Jen - yes - it's always hard to get everything done - especially in a timely fashion :) I'm glad I finally did the carbon-neutral thing!

Stewart - so true. I try to leave comments that mean something - hopefully I succeed at least some of the time :)
I do the blogroll, too, and I add a snippet so I can see what the post pertains to.
I read what I can, and what sounds interesting, and I comment on what I can, if I have something interesting to say...
On the "not showing up in my blogroll" comment, I'll say this: I believe they have a database that is only updated once every 24hrs or so. Seems new blogs will show up a day later.
Or maybe it has something to do with the latest post.
In any case, I sense a database sync issue causing a lag to adding folks to your blogroll.

See, to put a link in a picture, you might want to look for a widget called "picture". That's what I've used to link back to the generous people who gave me blog awards, heh. (you included, my dear :)
It's a basic widget you'll probably find in the first page. If you have problems finding it, give me a shout out by email that I'll help you out, ok?
