The BPB Blogfest

Nicole Ducleroir over at One Significant Moment at a Time is hosting a very cool blogfest. The BPB blogfest - aka the Bernard Pivot Blogfest - is to celebrate her 500 followers. Wow!! Way to go Nicole!

Here's what Nicole had to say about the blogfest...
Anyone who's watched Inside the Actor's Studio will be familiar with the questionnaire. The show's host, James Lipton, asks it of every celebrity guest at the close of the interview. The questionnaire was originally created by Bernard Pivot, a French journalist, for the cultural series he hosted on French television from 1991-2001, called Bouillon de Culture.

So here we go. Here's Bernard Pivot's famous questionnaire:

1. What is your favorite word?
Imagine

2. What is your least favorite word?
Hate

3. What turns you on creatively, spiritually or emotionally?
Music, laughter, art, sunshine

4. What turns you off?
Sadness, exhaustion

5. What is your favorite curse word?
I'm a teacher - I don't use those! :) When pressed, I will say 'piddlepop'

6. What sound or noise do you love?
Laughter, music, songbirds

7. What sound or noise do you hate?
Chainsaws, dentist drills, forks on plates

8. What profession other than your own would you like to attempt?
Author, marine biologist, computer programmer, animation artist, horse rancher, researcher, sports analyst, counsellor, special effects creator, photographer, photo-journalist, architect, director, chef, ... (okay, I'll stop now!)

9. What profession would you not like to do?
Politician

10. If Heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the Pearly Gates?
The library is in that direction...

That was fun! Thanks Nicole - if you haven't visited her, make sure you do. Also check out her blog for a list of all the entrants.

What's a profession that always sounded interesting to you?

Oooo, dentist drills. I don't like them either.

For #10, I'd like, "You were always right." Fat chance though.

Jessica Bell said...

LOL! 'piddlepop' ? I thought it was piddlepoop. Maybe that has something to do with being Australian and the fact that they tend to do number one and two at the same time ;o) LOLOLOL!!! Sorry, I like grossing people out :o)

Samantha VĂ©rant said...

Imagine! Love that too! And the song!

Hannah said...

I'm like you, I could list dozens of professions that I would like to try. I channel most of those dreams into my novels though. This blogfest is fun!

Talli Roland said...

Piddlepop! Hehe! I might have to steal that one from you... :)

Mari said...

Piddlepop is precious, Jemi! I too would like to do many things, but for now I'd just reply: writer, heh. ;P

Summer Frey said...

Forks on plates? I can see that.

Erinn said...

The library is in that direction...--- YES YES YES, think how awesome heaven's library would be.

Awesome list.

Unknown said...

Heaven's Library must be AWESOME! Do you think 'banned' books are there? Or do they only stock them in Hell's Library. LOL! Your answers are fantastic, so much fun to read. And I'll let 'piddlepop' fly next time I need to curse...I'll bet it will cheer me up!

Thanks for playing along!!

Lola Sharp said...

Dentist drills...how could I have forgotten to put that in my hated sounds?! *shudder* That IS a dreadful noise, indeed.

Have a happy day! :)

Hugs,
Lola

Laura S. said...

Any sound in the dentist is awful! I'd hate to be a politician too. Even the decent people seem to get corrupted.

Great answers! I love the Pearly Gates one!

Jules said...

Dentists are bad whether they make a noise or not. And take Architect off your list, I know, you do not want to be one :)

Great list--short and to the point. I wish more people would resort to "piddlepop" than some of the other words I hear being used all the time.

I'm with Jessica, I thought it was "piddlepoop." Piddlepop is much nicer than "crabcakes" (mine).

What profession ... interesting question. Maybe a pilot. I have a friend who's a pilot and he flies passengers like pandas or whales.

Haha! I love your preferred welcome to Heaven. I have something for you at my blog, if you have the chance to visit. :)

Helen - I do like crab cakes too! I'll have to try that one out :)

I wanted to be a pilot too for a while. Unfortunately my eyes are far too bad to even consider it. I'd love a job like your friend's - that would be awesome!
