Hmmm ... Cookies!

"C is for Cookie & that's good enough for me!"
Don't you just love Cookie Monster? :)

Thank you!!! I didn't feel like a complete loner or loser over at From the Write Angle the other day. As promised here are those virutal chocolate chip cookies!!

Okay, okay ... I didn't make these. But I promise, my own look very much the same. :)

While I was Googling images, I found this...

Yup. Those are candles!
And this...

Yup. That's a ring!
And even this...

Yup. That's bacon. Really. There's even a recipe.
Really.
Yuck.

So, what cool things have you found Googling lately???

***
In slightly more frustrating news, my laptop cord has stopped working & I don't know if it's the cord or the laptop. I can't take it in until at least tomorrow night. Hopefully it's a simple fix & I'll be back soon. If not, I hope you'll understand. I'll try to keep up on my iPod, but I'm really not very good at that! I'll be reading your comments though & I'll catch up when I can. I'm powering down now to try to save the battery! At least I was able to do a full back up on the external drive!!

Wish me luck!

Hey you did great at From the Write Angle!

Thanks for the cookies--yum! Plus, I love Cookie Monster ;)

Sorry about your laptop/cord.

Jemi Fraser said...

Karen - thanks! I think I'll have to bake some up this weekend :)

Jemi Fraser said...

Cherie - thanks! I was nervous, but I think it went okay thanks to all of you! :)

I'm hoping it's nothing big - it takes forever on my iPod. But at least I have one!

The Happy Whisk said...

I made a maple bacon biscuit/cookie thing not long ago and they were really good.

Neat little chocolate chip ring.

Happy Eating :-)

Jemi Fraser said...

Happy Whisk - really??? I guess I'm just not a fan of bacon - especially for dessert!!! :)

Not sure about bacon topped cookies either! And you'd think being Canadian I would be, eh?

klahanie said...

How weird is that? I recently left a reference to the 'Cookie Monster' on a blog.
I would have liked to have seen a photo of pancakes with maple syrup eh ! :)
"So, what cool things have you found Googling lately???"
Well I 'googled' 'Klahanie' and it took me to this really strange blog that was doing some sort of satire posting on that 'A to Z blogging Challenge!' I was shocked I tell you, shocked! :)
Take care eh :)

yummy looking cookies!

I understand cord and laptop issues. I've got two cords,so I always know when it's my laptop. and it's usually my laptop. can't really complain...the kids knock it off the couch at least once a day. It's usually a simple but expensive fix that I wish I wasn't making once a year...

The Happy Whisk said...

I'm still new to eating meats and so far, there is only one brand of bacon I will buy and eat. It's Coleman's uncured bacon. So so good.

And yeah, the biscuit/cookie things were surprisingly yummy. I wrote the recipe just to play and we liked it. However, the next day, they weren't good. But the day of, really yummy.

Wishing you well :-)

Jemi Fraser said...

Lynn - exactly! But not a chance!! :)

Jemi Fraser said...

Gary - I can't imagine you having anything to do with a satirical post ... :) I'll have to check it out once I get my laptop back :)

Jemi Fraser said...

Tamara - I'm really hoping it's nothing expensive! But you're right - laptops do go through a lot of abuse! :)

klahanie said...

Oh no, I would never do satire, or for that matter, sarcasm. You see, I've never, ever, ever, been sarcastic in my life, ever! LOL
Good luck with your laptop. Bloody computers eh! :)

Jemi Fraser said...

Happy Whisk - it really is surprising - but my son would probably like them. He likes bacon far more than he likes chocolate!

Jemi Fraser said...

Gary - of course you'd never do sarcasm! Can't imagine it for even a moment!

Thanks - I'm hoping it's a quick fix!

Susan Fields said...

Good luck getting your laptop up and running! And thanks for the cookies - yummy!

Jemi Fraser said...

Susan - you're very welcome! And thanks. I'm really hoping it's no big deal!!

You need an iPad!

Jemi Fraser said...

Alex - you're so right! I really, really do!! :)

I would totally eat the bacon cookies.

Good luck with your cord. The same thing happened to me. The result was not good.

I've been off all kinds of cookies and sweets for almost a month... I almost broke my teeth on my laptop trying to bite into one of those cookies....

I've found great things on google this past week. I needed some answers on Greek and Egyptian gods and goddesses for my posts and I found some out some amazing myths...

VR Barkowski said...

Jemi, I missed you on From the Write Angle *hangs head in shame* May I have a virtual cookie anyway? They look so good. I'll even take the one with bacon...

Last Google search: carpet. Not WIP related. :)

NO BACON ON MY COOKIES!

Cookie!

Good luck with your laptop and chord. I hate when anything happens to my computers - makes me feel all powerless, wondering how I'd get by if it actually did break down on me. I'd mourn, that's for sure!

Old Kitty said...

Cookie Monster Rocks!!! And I hated it when they made him start eating "healthily"! So not Cookie Monster!!!

I love the ring cookies! LOL!!

Good luck with your laptop!! I hope it'll be up and running soon! take care

Bacon on cookies sounds terrible! Who would invent that combo? Hope your laptop works again soon.

Jemi Fraser said...

Shelley - you would eat them??? I don't think I could even try them!!

I'm hoping its no biggie, but I'm worried!

Jemi Fraser said...

Michael - Yikes!! I hope your teeth are okay! :)

The Greek & Roman myths are really amazing!! Some very cool stories! :)

Jemi Fraser said...

VR - you're always welcome to some cookies!! And you don't have to eat the bacon cookies .. Unless you want to!

Hope you found a good carpet!

Jemi Fraser said...

Lee - I'm totally with you!! No bacon! And I'm a cookie fan too! :)

Jemi Fraser said...

Niki - yup, the bacon turned me right off too! Cookie Monster helps! :)

Charmaine Clancy said...

Not sure I could stomach the bacon cookie, but I do love bacon and eggs on pancakes with maple syrup :)
Hope your laptop is nothing serious (or expensive).

I agree with you! Bacon on a chocolate chip biscuit....YUCK!

Hope your computer woes are small and you are back very soon.

Rosalind Adam said...

Those biscuits look yummy... but not the one on the ring. That's weird. My lead for my laptop stopped working a few months ago. I had to go and buy a Universal Lead. It cost me quite a bit considering it was only a lead but they knew that I had no choice. Either pay up or buy a new laptop.

Linda Leszczuk said...

Argh! You're killing me here. I gave up cookies and sweets for Lent and look at these pictures!!!

Lola Sharp said...

mmmmm...cookies!!!! I'd totally eat the cookies with the bacon on top. And I'd wear that ring. That's how much I loves me some cookies. :)

I google things that probably have me on the FBI watch list, among other freaky lists. o_0 But, hey, I'm a writer.

Dude, I'm glad I'm a writer in the age of google. :)

Happy weekend, love.
Hugs,
Lola

Oh, and sorry for your computer troubles. :( I hope you find a fast, easy fix.

Thanks for the virtual cookies. No calories!! Don't think I want any with bacon on top. Those I'll pass on!

Jemi Fraser said...

Cruella - I know!! Powerless is the perfect word for it - when I had to put it in for repairs before it drove me crazy!!!

Jemi Fraser said...

Old Kitty - Cookie Monster is one of my faves. He really should be allowed to only eat cookies!!

Thanks! I really hope it's fixed quickly!!

Jemi Fraser said...

Laura - thanks! I'm hoping it's quick!

I don't understand why anyone would want to combine them either!

Jemi Fraser said...

Charmaine -really?? I'm not sure I could try that! I'm just not a bacon fan :)

Thanks - I'm hoping the same!! :)

Jemi Fraser said...

Karen - thanks!! I know the a to z challenge is a lot work - but it's a lot of fun to watch!! :)

Jemi Fraser said...

Ann - thanks! I'm hoping it's quick! And yuk indeed!! :)

I found soap for cloth diapers on Google. No so exciting... I know.

I love the cookie ring. I'd be gnawing on it all the time! (And thinking of cookies!)

Anonymous said...

Frustrating, I know. Have fun with your iPod (do you mean iPad???). And cookies with bacon is wrong on so many levels.

Jemi Fraser said...

Rosalind - I agree! A new cord is over $100 here - that's nuts! It's under warranty so I'm hoping it won't cost me a thing!

Jemi Fraser said...

Linda- you're a brave woman! Sorry for the torment!!! :)

Jemi Fraser said...

Lola - so true! I'm sure we're all on a few lists with our searches! :)

I'd wear the ring too - but there's no way I'd eat those cookies!

Beth Zimmerman said...

Do you watch Top Chef? They had an episode last season with Cookie Monster, Telly and Elmo. It was adorable!

Jemi Fraser said...

Susanne - I'd be passing on those ones too! Glad you enjoyed the no-calorie treat!

Jemi Fraser said...

Jean - that soap is a good find! Many of my searches are pretty dull too!

I'd like to have the ring too - it's fun!! :)

Jemi Fraser said...

Stephen - thanks - it looks like it'll be a few weeks though. And indie mean iPod - which I love - but I'd really love an iPad!!

Jemi Fraser said...

Beth - I haven't seen that one - but I'd love too! I'll see if I can google it ... Once I get my laptop back!

It was a sad day when Cookie Monster started eating carrots. My best Google of the week was finding the Peter Jackson video blog for the making of THE HOBBIT. If you want to see it go to his Facebook page. It rocks.

Jemi Fraser said...

Leslie - I agree - Cookie Monster needs to eat cookies!!

Jemi Fraser said...

Elizabeth - thanks! I love the cookie ring too! :) We've got a few inches of snow this morning, so the weekend's not quite as good as it could be!

Jemi Fraser said...

Amie - yummy indeed - in fact I think I'll bake some real ones now!

I had to send the computer away (it's under warranty) so it might take up to 3 weeks! :(

Hopefully it's faster!

Thanks for the cookies! But, um, I think I'll pass on the ones with the bacon. A little scary. . .

And good luck with the computer! The same thing happened to me. The problem was the cord--easy fix.

Jackee said...

Man, how I love chocolate chip cookies! Okay, maybe not bacon topped ones.

I hope it's not your computer and you can get your cord fixed soon. That happened to me a couple of weeks ago...

Looks like it's going to be 3 weeks before I get it back :(
