Babe

It's hard to beat a person that never gives up - Babe Ruth

Okay, so the writer in me wants to gently remind the Babe that people are 'who' and things are 'that', but I sure agree with the sentiment. There has been lots and lots and lots of great news in the bloggy-verse lately - and it's so exciting to celebrate success!!!

It always gives me hope. I'm on the right road. I'm heading in the right direction. Sure, at times it seems I'm moving more slowly than an arthritic snail, but I'm moving! I've seen a lot of sad faces in the bloggy-verse lately too. I hope these people see the hope and joy these successes bring.

Success is contagious - I say, bring it on!

(Edited to add one more 'lots' - another piece of GREAT news!!!) :)

Success breeds success! Unfortunately, failure breeds failure too. So as the Babe said, never give hard. You may be beaten down, but you won't get beat!

Stephen - exactly! Gotta love the Babe and his sayings - awesome stuff :)

Golden Eagle - yay! I love success :)

Yes, I love all the good news going around. :)

And, aside from the little grammatical error, it is indeed a marvelous quote.

Never give up.

I'm slow, too, Jemi. I mean, I'm fast with a first draft, but I'm a pitifully slow reviser. But, yanno, I've got a busy schedule and a family and pets and house and yard and a life. It's okay if we're slow. :)

Huggles,
Lola

That's right, girl! On the path, blazing a trail...and it's okay to feel a twinge of jealousy now and then (I certainly do), as long as it spurs us to strive harder! Write on!

Yvonne Osborne said...

Optimism is also contagious. If you're a snail, I'm a turtle minus three legs! Thanks for pointing us to success. I'll never give up, and I know neither will you.

Jemi Fraser said...

Lola - it's been awesome seeing all these great people making advances! I'm glad I'm not the only one who is slow. Life is soooooo busy, it's hard to do it all!

Lisa - my glass is pretty darn full too! It's so much fun to see all the success :)

Emily - thanks! I hope it spreads! There's lot of room for everyone :)

Feel free to snag any of my success! You'll make it if you just don't quit.

Stephanie Thornton said...

Perseverance, perseverance, perseverance! That's the key, right?

And it's okay to move at the pace of an arthritic snail--better than not moving at all!

My niggle is I'm pretty sure that picture is not anything like Babe Ruth.

But I agree with the sentiment!

Alex - thanks Alex! I do think I'll grab a hold of those coat tails!! :)

Stephanie - I agree! Moving in the right direction is enough. Life is BUSY and wonderful and I'll take what I can get!

Al - I just snorted out my tea!! Yup, I'm pretty sure Babe's legs didn't look much like those ones! :)

Old Kitty - and to you as well! Cheers!!!

Amen! I've had a couple of good days in a row now (contentment in spite of circumstances) and I feel like maybe I should shout "I'm Happy!" from the rooftops to counterbalance all the times I have said "I'm sad."
