Hanging In!

It's the last week of school and life is beyond crazy chaos! Thankfully, it's mostly fun chaos - but it's chaos nonetheless.

Right now I need a little bit of this
Next week I'll be doing more of this
And this
And watching this
And even doing some of this
How's your week going?

EDITED TO ADD:
I've removed the pictures (which of course makes this the most boring post EVER!) due to worries I'm stepping on someone's copyrights.

Sounds like next week is going to be an awesome week for you :)
I'm stuck in the middle of some crazy busyness. Not sure when it will end.

It's summer but so busy. Next week we're going on vacation. It'll be fun visiting with my husband's family and I'm bring 3 books along I'm dying to read.

Lynda - I'm hoping to totally relax next week - I've earned it!

Natalie - that's sounds great! I'm going to get some reading in too. There's a lot to catch up on right now! :)

Sounds like my week is like yours! We're also at the end of school - truly the end for my oldest daughter who has just graduated from high school. Enjoy your week of sleeping, writing and watching tennis!

Jemi Fraser said...

Beth - those bittersweet graduations get me every time! A time of joy and worry ('cause that's what moms do!) Good luck with the next steps ... and thanks!

by day I work (yawn), but by night I write :)

Jemi Fraser said...

Ms H - me too! I'm looking forward to a bit of a vacation! :)

School got out a little while ago for me, but I'm taking summer classes, so I'll still be pretty busy. Luckily enough, summer class schedules are a little easier. :) Hang in there!

First day of my summer break. I've been preparing for removal and delivery of two appliances. AND I put my hand on a yellow jacket wasp. OUCH! Now my little finger is super swollen and throbbing. AND it's very hot here.

I'm hoping things turn around for the better. :)

Bethany - summer courses do always seem lighter - hope they're going well for you!

Teresa - Ouch!! Hope it's better soon. Everything does seem to come at once. We had hideous heat last week, but so far, so good for this week. I'm hoping it holds! :)

Hey Jemi! Hang in there.
My week is full of writing, which is a good thing.

Jemi Fraser said...

Alex - I'm looking forward to that! These 50+ hour weeks are doing me in! :)

It's the last week of school for us too. Just over 48 hours and then my house will be full of kids running amok from dawn to dusk. Well, maybe not quite dawn as hopefully that's when I'll be doing my writing! But, yeah. We have kids at four different schools ATM (if you count the nursery) so there's been masses of events for the last two weeks. Gotta love it though!

Old Kitty said...

Oh it's so summer when Wimbledon starts!!! Enjoy yours!! Take care
x

Jemi Fraser said...

Susan - yay! Glad you're almost at the end too. That last week can be so looooooong! :)

Yvonne - we're HUGE sports fans in our house. And tennis is #1 for me so it's going to be a great summer :)

Nick - 4 different schools! And all the events! You must be exhausted too! Hope you manage to keep the hoardes while you get some writing in :)

Old Kitty - I agree! Wimbledon is definitely my kick off to summer! :)

Have fun and enjoy your summer! I am trying to keep cool while writing. Waiting to visit Canada and see my son in September. My summer will be one of relaxing and losing weight. :D

ALMOST THERE! That last week (well, the last weeks) of school is total crazypants. Hang in there--then you get to do all the lovely summery things we dream of all year long.

Light at the end of the tunnel! Hurrah! Hang in there, Jemi! You will make it through!

As for me, I whittled my enormous copy editing pile down from nine pieces to six. Soon to be five. :-)

It's Tuesday... you're almost halfway there! You can do it! *waves pompoms* This week, I wrote the prologue and first chapter of one of my WIPs. So all in all, it was productive!

Only a couple more days, Jemi.

DL Hammons said...

That ribbon will look so great dangling from your waist when you pass that finish line! :)

Jemi Fraser said...

Glynis - relaxing and losing weight sounds like a brilliant plan! I hope I get to do some of that too :)

Mary - thanks! I've loved my class - but I'm ready for summer! :)

Laurel - you're doing so well! It's satisfying to see that pile decrease :)

Julie - sounds like a good week! I'm hoping to devote some brain power to writing next week too! :)

Diane - yay! 2 down - 3 to go :)

DL - thanks! I can hardly wait!! :)

Ah yes, Jemi and can I relate to your photos and accompanying thoughts.
Of course, tennis and Wimbledon, this means we are going to get even more rain in Britain. Oh no! :)
And in tennis, "love" means nothing.
All the best, your starstruck fan, Gary :)

Jemi Fraser said...

Gary - The Canadian tennis Assoc used Love Means Nothing as a slogan a few years back. They might even still be using it - not sure. It always makes me smile! I'm hoping for clear British skies for the next fortnight :)

Golden Eagle said...

Hope this one passes quickly and you're soon into the next week. :)

Jemi Fraser said...

Golden Eagle - thanks! I hope so too!!! :)

Lisa Gail Green said...

That last one... Yeah. That's about all I want to do these days. ;D

Jemi Fraser said...

Lisa - I hear ya! I'm so tired all the time right now. I'm living on too little sleep and too much stuff!

KM Nalle said...

I can't believe it's almost July. How did that happen? Get some rest next week!

Kari - I know! This year is flying! :)

Kathi - thank you - that's my hope as well!

Leslie - I can't wait! Love my kids and my job - but I'm pooped! :)

The beginning and the end of school are super busy times. In the beginning I'm unpacking and getting ready for the year and then at the end I'm packing things up and finalizing odds and ends. I've been off for two and a half weeks and it's been wonderful. Enjoy your time off. It's well-deserved.

Medeia - thanks! I'm looking forward to it! :)

Jack - I've really enjoyed my kids this year, but it's been BUSY! I'm definitely looking forward to some down time! :)

Jean - thanks - I'm a little too tired out to write many words right now so this works :)

Nut - I think the sleep helps with the perseverance! :)

You have some lovely plans ahead of you!

I feel like summer is already flying by! (my kids have been out for 3+ weeks). Lots of sports, pool, and reading!

Romance Book Haven said...

Wow! Busy as anything for me!

Jemi Fraser said...

Kelly - that makes me so jealous!!! It's going to be over 100 degrees tomorrow and my classroom is a total heat trap - it's going to be a very lazy day :)

Nas - Busy is fun - and our usual state. This past couple of weeks has been way over the top!
