The Insecure Writer's Support Group is the brainchild of Alex J. Cavanaugh. He, his clones, minions, friends, and fellow authors make it an amazing event every month.

Purpose: To share and encourage. Writers can express doubts and concerns without fear of appearing foolish or weak. Those who have been through the fire can offer assistance and guidance. It’s a safe haven for insecure writers of all kinds!

April 1 question - The IWSG’s focus is on our writers. Each month, from all over the globe, we are a united group sharing our insecurities, our troubles, and our pain. So, in this time when our world is in crisis with the covid-19 pandemic, our optional question this month is: how are things in your world?

It's a weird time in the world and I hope all of our IWSG members are well.

We're doing well here in Northern Ontario. We've all been self-isolating since early March, only running out for essentials. It's busier in our house as we're on childcare duty for the family members working from home. We're having lots of fun and the snow is melting!!

It's a terrible time for a book release, but with dates for preorders set up well in advance, there's nothing else to be done but do it.

Sending good vibes out into our IWSG network and hoping everyone stays safe!

It may not be the best time, but those who need your book will find it.

You already know how thrilled I am for you and how much I enjoyed this book! Diane is so correct. People who are dealing with dementia in their families will need this book no matter what is going on in the world.

Me too, I'm thrilled to help showcase your new book. I think its subject matter is particularly crucial. Dementia, sadly, touches so many lives. Stay safe, Jemi.

Even we are self isolating and only going out for the essentials. No morning walks for 21 days. I'm positive we all will get out of this soon. Prayers for you.

Thanks for everything, Alex!

I hope so, Sheri! I can't imagine how difficult it is for some of the people with their LOs in their homes right now, cut off from so many supports!

It truly does - hideous disease!! thanks so much, Jolene!

Children are a blessing at a time like this. How can anyone think of much with young feet pitter-pattering. :-)

I am loving seeing your book as I do my rounds of the blogosphere. Hooray for Mason too - her tours so often feed my booky lust.
My plug for your book will go up tomorrow morning, and I hope that it gets you even more readers.

It may seem like a terrible time to release a book, but it might not be. People need things to do. I can't imagine something better than a good new book. Mine just landed in my Kindle, so hurray!

Jemi Fraser said...

That's true - I love getting a new book, too! Thanks for the support, Lee - it means a lot!

Congrats on the new release, Jemi! It is such an important topic, especially in these difficult times. Yes, we are in a pandemic, but people are still dealing with their everyday challenges and need information on more than just the latest count of Covid cases. Best to you on your book tour!

Jemi Fraser said...

Thanks so much, Lee! I really worry about people who are caregivers for loved ones with dementia in their own homes. It must be so challenging with the world situation.

I don't know if it's a terrible time to release a book or not, especially since people need things to do indoors now. Congratulations on the book release!

Congrats on your book release, and yes, I noticed we're sharing a book birthday, and maybe it's a rough time to release, but plans are plans. Hope you sell many copies! Stay safe out there! :)

Congratulations on the book Jemi! It might be a good time for a book release with people being home and also taking care of families members at home. Time will tell and I am sure you'll have lots of insight after all this is over!

Jemi Fraser said...

Thanks so much, Ken! I hope you're right! :)

Jemi Fraser said...
