Thursday Thoughts

Um... how did it get to be Thursday? When I woke up, I'm pretty sure it was Monday. This week has whipped by me!

It's been crazy. Work didn't just demand my attention, it sucked me into some kind of scary vortex. It hasn't been negative - in fact it's been a really fun week - but it's been constant motion and constant craziness.

And then there's the Olympics. Sports crazy family here, so we're flipping between anywhere from 3 to 5 Canadian channels depending on the events. Because we have so many networks covering the Games, I haven't even flipped to see the US coverage. It's usually fun to see how commentators from different countries view the same event :)

On another note: A big thank you to the lovely Lorel Clayton over at I'm Blogging Drowning Here for presenting me the Over the Top Award. Click here to see the questions and my answers for this award.

Another big thank you to Cassandra over at Cassandra Jade in the Realm for giving me the From Me to You/Picasso Award.

These are both fabulous ladies with really interesting blogs. If they're not already on your list, check them out!

I'd like to send these awards along to a few more great bloggers! Once Again, select the award you'd like and enjoy it as you wish. These are no pressure awards :)

Congrats on the Awards, a nice way to round out a busy week! I'm finding the Olympics especially riveting this winter, not sure why. But I turn on the tv and am immediately hooked. Enjoy!

Congrats on your awards!

Is it bad that I haven't watched any of the Olympics? I just don't watch TV!

Jemi Fraser said...

Thanks Joanne!

Me too - the tv goes on as soon as we're in the house! There are a lot of interesting and inspiring athletes with great stories to follow. So much fun and enthusiasm :)

Jemi Fraser said...

Stephanie - thanks!

No - it's not bad at all. We've all got such different interests - that's what makes it all so much fun!

You are attracting awards like no other! (I posted one for you this morning.) Maybe there should be an Olympic event for blogging awards... You'd be a contender, Jemi. Thanks for all the great comments you leave me.

I'm glued to the winter Olympics, no matter where they're held. The photos of the Vancouver area, however, are so stunning that I've added BC to the list of places I must visit. I've only been to Canada once, and that was to Montreal/Quebec City. Loved that trip, but clearly Vancouver is a whole different visual experience.

Jemi Fraser said...

Thanks Roxy! You're such a sweetie to think of me :) I'll pop over in a bit!

You're so welcome - I'm enjoying visiting your blog!

Jemi Fraser said...

Carolyn - Love it!! I haven't seen the mascots wearing the mitts yet :)

I wear mine daily - they're the best!

Jemi Fraser said...

Patricia - I haven't been to BC yet either - we do have a buddy there who keeps asking us to visit, so one of these days, we'll save up for the airfare :)

We're glued to the Olympics each and every time as well! Great stuff :)

Being from Michigan, I love the Winter Olympics. I'm still trying to figure out the whole Curling thing though. But all in all a very good Winter Olympics as usual.

You're absolutely right - where did this week go? I have no idea what I did Monday, let alone Thursday.

The Olympics has been fantastic this year, I'm so excited that we've won 4 gold, 3 silver and 1 bronze so far!!! WAY TO GO TEAM CANADA! :D Wish we were in Vancouver right about now.

Hope next week isn't so crazy for you.

Jemi Fraser said...

Layna - time can sure take off on us!!

I'd love to be in Vancouver for the next week - or the last week. Even if I didn't see any events - just to drink up the atmosphere, see the people, enjoy the moments. Awesome stuff :)

The Olympics have been fun and very distracting. I'll promise to do better next if you will.
