A Little Sunshine

We could all do with a little sunshine! And thanks to the lovely Siv Maria over at Been there, Done that, I've got a little extra to spread around :)

Here are the questions that go along with the award...

Favourite Number: don't really have one, but my son wore 10 in hockey so let's go with that
Favourite Colour: to wear? Blue. To have around me? Green. To enjoy? Red & purple.
Favourite animal: wolf or gorilla
Favourite non-alcoholic drink: chai tea
Facebook or Twitter: Twitter - I haven't joined FB yet :)
My passions are: my family, teaching, reading, writing, music, sports
Getting or giving presents: giving!
Favourite pattern: 1, 4, 9, 16, 25... (square numbers) (sorry, couldn't resist - plus I don't wear patterns)
Favourite Day of the Week: Saturday
Favourite Flower: Daisy

Thanks as well to the wonderful Kela McClelland over at Teardrops on My Book. Kela awarded me the Versatile Blogger award. I'm supposed to tell you 7 random things, but I've already shared enough for today. :) I hope you'll pop on over and visit Kela though!

I'm not going to follow the pass-along rules (shock, I know!), but I'd like anyone who wants to, to snag either of these awards. If you visit here, you definitely bring me some sunshine!

Choose one of the questions and give me your answer!

I haven't joined Facebook either!

Jemi Fraser said...

Alex - me may be the only 2 writers who haven't! :)

Golden Eagle said...

Congratulations on the award!

I haven't joined Facebook, either, and have no desire to. :P

I love your answer to the patterns question--you're the first person who used numbers!

Old Kitty said...

Yay for sunshine and yay for your wonderful awards too!

I've never ever tried chai tea!! I will now! :-)

Take care
x

Jemi Fraser said...

Golden Eagle - I wasn't sure about that one - didn't know if people would think I was nuts ... or more nuts! :)

Old Kitty - thanks! Chai Tea is like drinking Christmas - best flavour in the world. I like the Tim Horton's and Tetley's versions best :)

I'm a reluctant facebook user - more of a reader than a sharer, liker, etc. Haven't touched twitter, though it may be more useful in some ways....

Jemi Fraser said...

Jeff - I like the brief connections on twitter, the chats, and the fact that I can ignore it when I need to and it's absolutely fine! :)

RHYTHM AND RHYME said...

Congrats on the awards well deserved.

Yvonne.

DEZMOND said...

oooh, love that you love green and violet, those are my trademark colours :)

Jemi Fraser said...

Yvonne - thanks so much!

Dezzy - and where do you think I got my favourite colours from??? :)

Emily R. King said...

Congrats on your award!

I have a FB writer page. None of the social stuff goes with it. I love it.

Jemi Fraser said...

Emily - If I ever get to the point I have a book, I bet I'll do the exact same thing! :)

Jemi Fraser said...

Karen - (we cross posted & I missed yours!) yay for Chai tea!!! It really is a little piece of heaven :)

I started on Facebook but now prefer Twitter!
Favourite Flower... Tulip.. ahh love them

Jemi Fraser said...

Michelle - I love tulips too - they'd be way up in top 5!! :) Twitter is fun and fast - I enjoy it!

Susan Gourley/Kelley said...

Wolf or gorilla really made me laugh. Original.

Natalie Aguirre said...

Congrats on the award. I need to join Twitter.

T. Powell Coltrin said...

Great to know you even better. I'm on FB and Twitter, but I'm not using either very much.

Teresa

Jemi Fraser said...

Susan - good to hear! I've never been one to follow the regular path! :)

Natalie - twittter is more fun than I thought. I found it intimidating at first, but not any more.

Teresa - that's why I haven't joined FB - it's hard enough to keep up with the social media I've already got going. :)

Jennie Bailey said...

I could use some sunshine today! Let's see - favorite flower is the calla lily! I love them so much, I named my dog after them!

Jemi Fraser said...

Jennie - sunshine is ALWAYS good! The calla lilies are so pretty - but I can't breathe anywhere near them! I'll let you enjoy them close up! :)

Michael Di Gesu said...

Hey, Jemi,

THanks for spreading the sunshine.

Congrats. Very surprising answers, especially about your favorite animal.

Jemi Fraser said...

Michael - Farley Mowat influenced me there -- Never Cry Wolf & Virunaga. Both true stories - and both incredible!

Jean Oram said...

I know this probably won't surprise you... but I love daisies too! (And blue and chai tea--have you had a chai tea latte? The local independent coffee shop makes the best ever!)

Jemi Fraser said...

Jean - not surprised in the LEAST! File it under coincidence! :) The Chai tea lattes are wicked!! I've only had a couple - but they are good :)

Great to know you a little better! I like giraffes. Love the square number pattern. Some people like prime numbers. Me, I like them both. And Facebook for me, thank you very much.

Jemi Fraser said...

Stephen - I do love my prime numbers too. I almost went there - or with triangular numbers, but I like my squares :)

Danette said...

Count me in with a cupa Chai! Yummers!!

Jemi Fraser said...

Danette - best tea ever!! :)

Unknown said...

Lol, I'm also quite fond of that pattern ;-) And the Fibonacci one!

Jemi Fraser said...

Rachel - Fibonacci is a good one! My students always get a kick out of that one when I show them :)

Lynda R Young as Elle Cardy said...

Ha! I'm a non-pattern wearing person as well! Congrats on your award.

Jemi Fraser said...

Lynda - yay! Most people think I'm nuts! :)

Nas said...

Congrats on the award!

Favorite flower? Roses!

Jemi Fraser said...

Nas - roses are so pretty! And they smell divine. Great choice! :)

L. Diane Wolfe said...

Now I'm craving chai tea.

Favorite animal is a tiger. I know, it should be a wolf, shouldn't it?

Jemi Fraser said...

Diane - it really should!!! :)

Chai tea is always available here - you're welcome to join me any time!!

Anonymous said...

Chai tea - yum!

I'm on both Twitter and Facebook but don't use them a lot. Hard to keep up on the postings!

Jemi Fraser said...

Susanne - It's really hard to keep up with it all. I haven't even looked into FB or Pinterest or any other sites. Too much at this point. So, let's sit back with our Chai tea and relax :)

Hey Jemi,
I know, you've been waiting for one of my um 'must read' comments. Okay, you might have to wait a bit longer:)
Delighted you have received the "Sunshine Award". Fits perfectly with your sunny disposition.
What? You haven't joined 'Farcebook', everyone's favourite social 'notworking' site? Good grief, I joined Farcebook so that all my um Farcebook 'friends' could be thrilled to pieces with my vital profile updates such as, 'I just went to the kitchen to make a cup of coffee and now I have finished my coffee and will go back to the kitchen to make another cup of coffee and proceed to do a run on sentence due to all the caffeine from the cups of coffee....'

Jemi Fraser said...

Gary - of course I've been waiting!!! :)

If I ever have a book to sell, I'll join Facebook and add in my similar updates - just have to substitute the tea for coffee! :)

I love your different reasons for picking different colors.

Oh and I adore chai tea :0)

Jemi Fraser said...

Elisabeth - yay! Another Chai tea fan!! :) I pretty much love all colours - so I had to give more than one favourite :)

Beth Zimmerman said...

Do Canadians spell *favourite* that way? I know the British do. But my spell check and I think you could do without the *u.*

Favourite Number: Hmmm ... can't think of one though they certainly are not all equal (lol). I suppose 1.

Favourite Colour: depends on where the color resides. Clothing - black and fuschia (hot pink), accent wall in dining room - Roasted Red Pepper (haven't done that yet), nails - vary with the season, etc.

Favourite animal: puppies and kittens

Favourite non-alcoholic drink: Ice Water or REAL Lemonade

Facebook or Twitter: Facebook though I tweet once in a while

My passions are: faith, family, friends, writing

Getting or giving presents: giving!

Favourite pattern: not much of a pattern girl but I like lace or polka dots

Favourite Day of the Week: Saturday

Favourite Flower: Daisy or Shasta Daisy

Jemi Fraser said...

Beth - we have a lot the same!! Daisies are so joyful! We Canadians do spell a lot of words with a 'u' - favourite, colour, neighbour...

DL Hammons said...

My oldest son wore #10 throughout his little league / high school baseball career! :)

Jemi Fraser said...

DL - it's a good number! :)

TerryLynnJohnson said...

flower - lilacs
passion - swimming, dogs, hiking, snowshoeing, kayaking

love reading your answers.

Jemi Fraser said...

Terry - I like lilacs, but I can't breathe around them! I wish I could :)

A said...

Congrats on the award Jemi.

p/s: it's daisies for me too :-)))

Jemi Fraser said...

Agnes - daisies really are the best! :)
